Adriane Ray came to Carey and Hanna in January 2016 after many years of working in business administration. She is currently our front desk receptionist for the tax side of our firm. She received an Associate Degree from Glendale College, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Diego State University with a major in Sociology and a minor in Business Marketing.
After graduating from college, Adriane went to work for Delta Air Lines. She started out working in passenger reservations taking calls in domestic reservations and Delta Executive Accounts. She went on to work at Delta’s Cruise Desk, Group Desk, Convention Desk, Tour Desk, Customer Service Agent Assist, and Special Meeting Network booking agent, coordinator and trainer. After many years in reservations she moved on to the position of Operations Call Center Coordinator where she served as a liaison between local management, frontline representatives, Central Network Center in Atlanta, Delta Technology and the LAX Tower. She performed many years of customer service and sales, phone reservations, administrative duties and operations experience.
When Delta closed the LAX reservations and marketing offices, Adriane went to work as an Administrative Assistant for Coldwell Banker Premier. After the recession hit and it was slow in the real estate market, she decided she missed the travel industry so she went to work as an Operations Booking Support and Documents agent at a local tour company. Her favorite experience while working there was a familiarization trip she took to Australia where she was able to meet many of the vendors she worked with on a daily basis. She got to experience Sydney where she visited the Opera House, the BridgeClimb, the Captain Cook Luncheon Harbor Cruise, went wine tasting in the Hunter Valley, went to the Featherdale Wildlife Park where she got to hold a koala bear, she went to the Blue Mountains, and experienced a picnic in the park with the kangaroos jumping around her. She then took a tour bus to the capital of Canberra where she sat in on a Parliament session and went on to Melbourne where she took a helicopter ride over the Great Ocean Road. When that company closed their local office, she went to work for a tax office in Ventura as a receptionist until that owner retired.
Adriane lives in Simi Valley with her husband, Doug and her puppy, Bailey. She has two children Allison and Kevin and a young granddaughter, Starr who she adores and loves to watch play AYSO soccer. Adriane’s hobbies include travel, waterskiing, Zumba, reading, and she enjoys watching games of all sports. She especially loves spending time with her family. Adriane participated in the JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Walks for years while working at Delta and more recently has been involved with the City of Hope “Walk for Hope.”
