Since Davin’s affiliation with Carey & Hanna in 2007, the firm has flourished. Davin has been recognized by HDVest Investment Services, one of the largest independent broker-dealers in the country, as a member of the Premier Advisors Forum since 2012 and as a member of the President’s Advisory Council since 2016, an honor reserved for the top 15 advisors with the firm nationwide.
Davin’s passions in the financial planning world include complex case design such as reducing taxes in concert with stock option and deferred compensation plans, converting accumulated assets into dependable lifetime income streams and helping to achieve wealth and income through real estate assets.
As a child, Davin acted in TV shows, movies, and national commercials. After “retiring” from the red-carpet life, he received parental permission to use some of his earnings to buy and trade stock, at the ripe age of 11.
Davin is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Real Estate Finance as a recognized member of the Dean's List and an invited member of two National Greek Honor Societies: Gamma Sigma Alpha and Order of Omega.
After his freshman year in college, Davin knew renting was a poor investment, so put his freshly achieved Real Estate Salesperson License to buy his first of many investment properties which he occupied as a student and rented to others. Eventually, as an active member of the international Jewish Fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Davin held nearly every Executive Board position available, ranging from Fundraising and Social Chair to Treasurer and President.
Davin has continued to grow professionally and along with holding a California Real Estate Broker License and various financial services and insurance licenses, is a mentor, coach, and regular public speaker to other financial advisors and industry leaders nationwide.
Davin Carey resides in the North Ranch area of Westlake Village with his wife Lindsay, their son Luke, and their dog Han Solo. Also in his free time, Davin enjoys SoulCycle, recreational shooting, scuba diving, extensive traveling, driving events and of course, movies and television.
