Elizabeth Larios spent two decades working in the financial services industry and developed a passion for working with business owners. As a relationship manager, she advised small business owners on everything from cash management, financing, and wealth management opportunities. She spent a lot of time working with her client’s CPAs and became intrigued with the idea to pursue a new career as an accountant with the goal of becoming a CPA. On December 5, 2012 she gave her notice to her employer and set out to pursue her dream. It was the scariest decision she had ever made. After all, she was going to embark on a new career and start from the bottom. However, she believed in herself and knew she was up to the challenge. Elizabeth interned at a local CPA firm and then worked at another Ventura County firm for two years. In February 2016, she learned of an opportunity to join Carey & Hanna and jumped at the chance. Being able to bring forth the knowledge she obtained in the financial services sector and apply it in her new career as an accountant is a dream come true.
Starting a new career is not easy, but it helped to have the full support of her family. Elizabeth resides in Oxnard with her husband and three kids. Her evenings and weekends are spent at her kids’ sporting events and volunteering at their school. Her life is busy, and at times chaotic, but very full and rich. She counts her blessings every day for her family and for the opportunity to work at Carey & Hanna.
