In late March 2020, the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) announced that California residents have until July 15, 2020 to file and pay individual tax returns. Quarterly estimates that were due April 15 will now be due July 15, and partnerships and LLCs whose returns were due March 15 are also now due July 15.
Americans also have until July 15, 2020 to file and pay Federal tax – deferring up to $1,000,000 for an individual and $10,000,000 for a corporation. Individuals can still file for an extension.
In compliance with social distancing measures, Carey & Hanna is not taking any face-to-face interactions at this time. Please continue to mail or contact us to submit electronically your tax information, and we can schedule a phone conference to review any questions or issues that might come up. With these new deadlines extended, you are not at risk of penalty or interest as we all work through these unusual and uncertain times. As always, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
